Family & Family Life

1.      Is motherhood a career? // Would you (your wife) like to continue your (her) career or stay at home taking care of the household?

No, it isn’t. It’s not because of un-payment. In my opinion, family is taking care for each other not one of the members should takes responsibility. If I can, I will keep my career and taking care of the household as much as I can. If I can’t, I will stay at home to bring up baby about two or three years. After that, I will still go back to work.

2.      Who dose the housework in your family?

The housework in my family is division. For instance, my father and mother prepare meals. My brother throws away rubbish. My sisters and I sweep the floor. I think that’s very common in modern society. Because parents have to work longer so children have to take some responsibility to share the housework.

3.      Do you agree that household is never finished?

Yes! I believe it is. Household is something like that if you don’t clean the house or to launder clothes, everyone will feel uncomfortable. But when you do it, everyone considers that is normal. Housework is also very boring with too many routine task, time consuming and tiring. If you can share household with family members, that will be better.

4.      Do you prefer to spend time with your family or friends?

I like to stay with my family. Because they can’t be replace by anyone and they are closer than friends. For me, the support from family and friends are different. Your family loves you no matter who you are, at your worst and your best. But friends may separate for some reasons. Besides this, I can have hearty talk without worry about clothes or place with family. So I really like to spend more time with my family.

5.      Have you ever been stay away from you family for a long time?

Yes, I had once. When I was a high school student, I lived in dormitory for three years. At first, I really missed my family and got homesick. I called my family frequently. After they answered the phone I started crying and couldn’t say anything. Every time they came to see me, I couldn’t let them go. Now I plan to go abroad to work and I am missing them from now. However, I believe this is a positive effective that can force me become independence.
