Writing Task 1 The given map shows the relative location and the distribution of various areas in Garlsdon, which is surrounded by three cities with less population. The possible two sites of supermarket building indicate the different function of them in the traffic aspect. (The question is “A new supermarket is planned for the town. The map shows two possible sites for the supermarket.” In my opinion, I think you can combine this two sentence and emphasize the point.)Because the traffic is restricted in Town Centre, people going to S2 have to get by foot or by railway. Considering the distance, the areas surrounding S2, including Town Centre, Housing, and part of Industry, might be the main customer group. Also, for people living in Bransdon and Cransdon can get Garlsdon until the Town Centre by main roads and access to S2 by foot.

On the other hand, located between main road and railway, although S1 is far from Town Centre, it is convenient for consumers who own private cars or do not want to walk to access. Besides, according to the map, people in Hindon can drive to S1 with not too far distance.

The two supermarkets would be responsible for people’s shopping demand in different areas of Garlsdon and its surrounding cities. The access transportation type of them would be not the same, either.
