Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject.

To take a balance between two genders is an important work in education for it influences the development of gender attitude in students. But is it necessary for university to enroll equal number of both sexes in every subject? (Avoid an interrogative sentence) Personally, I would not assist this kind of management of class.

The opportunities for both sexes to get in a subject become the same, and there will be a balanced number of two genders, which may make grouping work and some responsibility distribution easier in the class. (This is from teacher’s view, but I think student is more important than teacher. If I were you, I will say because the different between male and female in thought is significantly. The balanced number of gender can provide opportunities to learn diversity. And don’t forget to make some example! )
However, as universities are supposed to be an institution with free learning, the willingness and preference of every student should be respected as well. If the availability of entering a subject is limited just because of the reversed vacancy for the opposite sex, it may become an injustice. Furthermore, the preference of every subject in different sexes would differ case by case. For example, male students tend to choose some subjects such as mathematics or engineering, while females would like to take history, literature, and art. It might become no need to limit the number of students of two sexes.
To make my statement into the conclusion, since we should respect the individualism, the freedom of self-decision, and the right to receive education, the option of every student should not be trapped, therefore, it is unnecessary to rule the equal number of male and female students in the same subject.
